Communicating With My Cats

Emmet has so much to tell me.

Animal Communication has always been an interest to me. Being able to communicate and have conversations with not only my cats, but the deer and squirrels that roam around my property. Or an injured or sick animal to see what they may need. How cool would it be to have that ability. To be like a modern-day Dr. Dolittle! What if I told you that you could. Maybe not in the way that you might be thinking, but you can communicate with animals. Recently, I completed an Animal Communication course and have since been communicating with my cats.

Listening with your heart

Over a year ago, I had my first experience with animal communication. It was pretty crazy to hear what the communicators picked up about my cats. Really got me thinking how this could be another way to help keep my cats happy and healthy. If I could communicate with them, then they could tell me what they need or what is going on with them. That certainly would make my life easier. I started looking into animal communication. Attending webinars, watching live communication sessions, taking mini courses. I realized that animal communication is more about listening with your heart, not necessarily with your ears.

Prudence communicated with me when she was ready to transition.

The more that I worked on my intuition and clearing up my heart space, I started having briefs moments of communication with some of my cats. Back in July of 2022 when Prudence started declining, I was able to communicate with her. After placing her in her favorite window spot, I asked her what she needed from me. Instantly, I saw the “I’m tired, boss” scene in The Green Mile. I knew exactly what I needed to do. Not only in regard to Prudence, but also in learning more about animal communication and how I can strengthen my own ability. But where to begin.

The Universe Knows

There are so many great animal communicators and courses out there that I was completely overwhelmed. As I said earlier, I took a few mini courses offered by different people, but never really felt a connection with them. I truly believe that you need to have a connection with the instructor. Learning animal communication and strengthening your ability can be very personal. Learning to come from your heart space is intimidating. There is a sense of vulnerability. So, I knew that I needed to find the right instructor. And, just like that, I find the right one through a “random” Facebook post made by Sylvie Sterling, The Cat Whisperer. I use air quotes because nothing is ever random when it comes to the Universe.

Being able to communicate with my cats has eased tensions in the house.

I started with a few courses and webinars with Sylvie. Each leading to the next. Finally, a couple of weeks ago, I completed her Animal Communication course. It was amazing. I learned quite a few different techniques to use when communicating with my cats. She provided us with different meditations to use to prepare before our communication sessions. And we received real-time feedback from her and the other participants. It was amazing to receive confirmation that the messages we were receiving actually resonated with the pet guardians. I completed the class wanting more, knowing that this had now opened up a whole new world for me.

If I Could Talk to the Animals

Now, I am nowhere near being an advanced animal communicator. I definitely need more practice and to not only strengthen my ability, but also trust my intuition. Nor do I have random animals trying to talk to me. Animal communication doesn’t work that way. There is an intention that needs to happen. And, I have also learned, that even if you want to connect with an animal, that animal may not want to connect with you. And you have to honor that. Communication is a two-way street.

What does Zazzles need me to know?

I have had some interesting experiences though. Connecting with some of my cats has helped me to determine where the tension that we have been dealing with is coming from. I was also able to connect with a seagull when we were at the OBX. I was afraid he was eating some plastic. He informed me that it was “food” and “fish”. The other day, a sparrow flew into one of our big windows. I heard the thud. When I went to check, I saw him sitting on the deck. A few minutes later, he was still sitting there. I connected with him to make sure that he was okay. I got that he was fine, just a little dizzy. Few minutes later, he flew off.

I am so happy that I now have this ability that will allow me to connect with me cats and check in with them. To not only ensure that they are happy and healthy, but also to be able to ensure that they are “heard”. It is even cooler that I am now able to check in with wildlife if the situation arises. If any of this resonated with you, I highly suggest checking out Sylvie Sterling, or any of the other amazing animal communicators out there. Also, I really need to practice with other people’s cats, so if you would like to know what your cat has to say, send me a message and I will see what I can do.

Cactus may be young, but she has a lot to communicate.
